Directions on how to apply for acceptance to a tournament.

The Location:

Stroudsburg Pennsylvania,  in the "Heart of the Poconos".  Our two outstanding soccer parks are easily assessable off Interstate 80 and just over the PA boarder within an easy driving distance from anywhere in the Tri-State area.  The main complex, Monroe County Parks / Burnley Soccer Fields, has 10 centrally located fields including 2 brand new championship fields in perfect condition.  We are also very  proud to announce the addition of Smithfield Township's Minisink Soccer Park.  This brand new facility has a spectacular view of the Delaware Water Gap and will host 4 championship playing fields with plenty of additional space for warm-ups and practice.

The Tournaments:

There are 2 levels of competition, a "Premier" level tournament and a "B" level tournament.

Level 1: The Pocono Cup "Girls" Premier (July 6-7, 2002) & The Pocono Cup "Boys" Premier level tournament (July 13-14, 2002) are designed specifically for teams competing at the highest level with a limit of 6 guest players.

Level 2: The Memorial Day Challenge "B" Division Tournament (May 25-26, 2002) designed specifically for club teams competing at a "B" level with no guest players.

For additional information on each event click on the above black tournament button.

The Games:

Every tournament is a Saturday-Sunday event.  Each team plays 4 preliminary games with a maximum of 2 playoff rounds.  Each match is played in 25 minute halves with the majority of the games held on Saturday.  Sunday is reserved for the last of the preliminary rounds and all playoffs matches.  Bracketing is determined by the number of teams accepted in each age group with a limit of 16.  Points are awarded for wins and ties.  The total number of teams in your bracket determines the number of points your team needs to qualify.
